I do appreciate that they're not downplaying how Kislev has faced the hordes of Chaos for far longer, and a lot of the time far harsher, than the Empire has. Thankfully, they aren't quite like what CA made.ĮDIT: Ah, yeah, Ice Guard, as Mass linked. Ironically, a core of elite Ice Magic wielders has been in the works on Kattarin's side for some time, but the Widow Guard haven't yet shown up IC. Admittedly, my version of Kattarin the Bloody walks around at seven feet before putting on her Ice Magic-woven full plate, rather than the more traditional purple and blue robes that Katarin the Ice Queen wears, so it's a whole mess of interpretations of wizards and magic and such. Basically sound like Ice Witches who have either focused on mainly physical martial stuff with a bit of magical enhancement with their spears and gear, or are lower level casters of Ice Magic who are not capable of going Full Wizard/Witch/Mage/Etc.

Ice Guard, I think, maybe? They sound, mechanically, like they might end up being Kislev versions of the Sisters of the Thorn from the Wood Elves, but not sure if mounted or unmounted. Maiden Guard or Ice Maidens or whatever they're being called.

Katarin the ice queen
